Here is good news for all farmer community from Telangana state. By clearing the air about much debated loan waiver scheme Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao Friday made it clear that the government will waive all crop loans of up to Rs.1 lakh without any restrictions.
KCR announced that his government will be waiving loans of crops and even the loans taken on gold loans. KCR reiterated that government will take up this scheme even though it will take a heavy toll on the state treasury. KCR announced that 26 Lakh farmers will be benefited through this scheme and will cost 19000 Crores on the state exchequer. KCR said that the government would give a clear picture in the next 4 to 5 days.
However KCR said this loan waiver will require little permission from Reserve Bank of India and his government will begin the work very soon. He also assured that he will speak to the bankers to issue Kharif Loans without relation with the previous loans.
The Chief Minister dismissed the demand of opposition parties to set a time-frame to implement the scheme. KCR announced that the first all party meeting will be held for three consecutive days on June 15, 16th and 17th to discuss different issues concerning the new State.He said that Telangana is a newly formed State and things need to settle after the completion of process of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. The chief minister promised to implement all schemes in a translucent manner and through consultation with other parties. He hoped that the central government will lend a helping hand to Telangana.
