Rajinikanth did his best to make people talk about his animation film Vikrama Simha (Kochadaiyyan) by joining Twitter and also launching his next film Linga. He succeeded in getting maximum publicity for the film. But it was not enough to help the film to overcome the financial hurdles.

Vikrama Simha, which was slated for release on May 9, won’t release in any language until May 23rd. Makers are hoping that all the financial troubles get settled by then. Buyers didn’t know that this is an animated film until the trailers were released. They were shocked to see a ‘cartoon’ film from Rajinikanth.

Vikrama Simha is made on a whopping budget of Rs. 120 crore and buyers are not ready shell out big bucks on a risky film. In spite of Rajinikanth’s assurance to give Linga rights to the same buyers, they are not ready to risk huge on this one. This film might face difficulties to release on May 23rd too, says the latest reports.
