The most-awaiting moment has finally arrived. AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu and Opposition leader Jagan Reddy are bracing up for powerful face-offs as the new State of Andhra Pradesh is all set to have its first session of Assembly from Today. All eyes are on Babu and Jagan as the duo’s relation got hit hard of late. Although Babu personally called and invited Jagan for his swearing-in, Jagan had not respond to Babu’s calls initially and later choose to stay away from the do. We hear that ‘sulking’ Jagan hasn’t congratulated Naidu yet for his grand success in recent polls. Political analysts, observers found fault with Jagan for his callous attitude. Everyone in the State is curious to see how Jagan and Babu address each other and act in the Assembly.
Meanwhile, the Assembly will begin on Thursday at 11.43 AM in Hyderabad and continue up to five days i.e. till June 24. On the first day of the first session, all MLAs-elect will take the oath before the protem Speaker. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will be the first to take the oath, followed by his Cabinet ministers and then the MLAs in alphabetical order. The election notification for Speaker, Deputy Speaker will be issued on the same day.The elections for the Assembly Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be held on June 20. Senior Telugu Desam Party MLA P Narayana Swamy Naidu, who has taken oath as protem Speaker yesterday at Raj Bhavan, will administer the oath of Speaker and Deputy Speaker Tomorrow.
Governor Narasimhan will address members of both Houses on June 21. Both Houses will discuss on Governor’s speech on June 23 and 24. CM Chandra Babu Naidu will give his reply to the discussion on June 24, after which the Assembly session will be adjourned sine die.
