Super Friday has finally come. Bringing curtains down on India’s mammoth electoral exercise Mandate 2014, touted as World’s biggest election, Election Commission is all set to count 550 million votes sealed in more than 1.8 million Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) Today. The daunting task by all means, Elections 2014 began with its announcement on March 5. The polling was held in nine phases between April 7 and May 12. Around 66 percent of the 814 million electorates voted between April 7 and May 12 across the country to pick a new 543-member Lok Sabha. Counting at 989 centres across the country will begin at 8 a.m. Friday, an official statement said. Exit polls at the end of the staggered election have predicted a win for the BJP and its allies in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). All eyes are on the new born states Andhra Pradesh, Telangana as assembly elections were held along with Lok Sabha polls.
