Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has issued strict instructions that school children should not be exploited as cheer leaders during VIP visits including that of himself to districts.
After witnessing how school children toiled in the sun at Nizamabad to greet him and offer him flowers, a show organized by local administration TRS chief ranted at school and revenue officials. ‘Who told u to bring such tity tots out on a hot sun ?’ he admonished them.
Soon after his return to Hyderabad he ensured that a general circular is issued to the effect that school children are not used as fancy and plastic dummies and should not be used for government or private functions.
â€œI was saddened at the sight of the innocent children standing under the sun to greet the visiting VIPs. It is not proper to subject them to such inconvenience. Hence, hereafter during my visits or any those of other VIPs visit, officials should not make school children stand on the roads to greet the visiting dignitaries,â€ he said.
