Indian Government is gearing up to tighten screws on the serial traffic offenders to check the ever increasing road accidents. As a part of this, government is planning to cancel the license of those who are caught drunk and drive cases for multiple times. Accordingly, film director and writer, BVS Ravi’s name (Gopichand’s Wanted director) is also on the list.
BVS Ravi was first caught by traffic police under charges of drunk and drive in April, 2014, where he has paid Rs 2000 as fine and had to attend a counseling session by Hyderabad Traffic Police. Recently in the last month, he was once again caught driving in inebriated state by the Hyderabad Traffic Police, a hefty fine was again imposed.
This time BVS Ravi may be well in danger of losing his driving license. Hyderabad Police have forwarded a list of serial offenders to RTI department. BVS Ravi is one in this list. It is a disgrace that film personalities who are very influential on the society are being a bad example to the society with their actions.
