None other than Superstar Rajnikanth’s movie has suffered trouble when it comes to prolonged release and high budget investment. We have seen this in the case of ‘Kochadaiyaan’. And now this top-class commercial director is also travelling into same tunnel, say sources.
Director Shankar is always known for high-budget extravaganzas since the start of his career. But it will be okay if something like 50 Crores is on his mind as he could sell film in both Tamil and Telugu circuits to recover easily. But for his latest movie ‘Manoharudu’, (Ai in Tamil) the budget has already crossed 70 Crores creating tensions for producers. As the film is getting delayed and Shankar stuffing more budget to shoot songs, producers are now hoping for a miracle because ‘interest rates’ are literally eating away their future profits.
Like it happened in the case of Kochadaiyaan and Mahesh’s ‘1 Nenokkadine’, the makers should sell film to some corporate giants like Eros or Reliance. That is the only Shankar could be saved from making a financial disaster even though film clicks at box office.
