The appointment of K. Chandrasekhar Rao as Telangana’s first Chief Minister is being questioned now. One advocate named PV Krishnaiah challenged KCR’s nomination in Hyderabad High Court. PV Krishnaiah has filed a petition under ‘Writ of Quo Warranto’ in High Court seeking how KCR is being continued as CM of Telangana. Naming KCR, Governor ESL Narsimhan, Chief Secretary of Telangana, Union Home Secretary and Union Secretary for Justice as opponents, PV Krishnaiah alleged that Governor has flouted the rules of Constitution of India.

Krishnaiah appealed to Court that Governor has “grossly” violated norms, rules framed in Indian Constitution. Krishnaiah said in a statement, “Governor was supposed to invite political parties who won majority in elections to prove their majority in Assembly first to form the government. Governor didn’t do this. He also delayed the government formation in both Telangana, Andhra Pradesh. He rather chose to extend Governor’s rule despite the fact that results came out on May 16. This is clear

Krishnaiah thus puts his argument that KCR’s appointment as CM is “invalid”. High Court is soon going to summon the names termed by the petitioner and likely to react on the issue after hearing to their versions.
