Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachch Vidyalaya programme is inspiring even companies to become part of the developmental activities.
According to the latest many companies are coming forward to construct toilets in schools of Andhra Pradesh. While all the schools have been booked completely by the companies to build toilets, surprisingly more than 3000 schools are waiting for corporate funding under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Vidyalaya programme.
PM some time back asked companies to fund construction of toilets using their CSR money by “booking” schools of their choice. Union HRD ministry opened the booking more than two months ago and while all the schools in various states have been booked, states like Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, West Bengal and Bihar along with Telangana have have round 5000 schools yet to be booked. At the same time all schools in Andhra Pradesh booked by few Corporate companies and gearing up to build toilets in those schools.
