AIADMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha is facing the most important day of her life. AIADMK cadre and her supporters await with bated breath experiencing tensions as Bangalore special court is delivering its final verdit on Jayalalitha’s role in Rs 66crs disproportionate assets case. The case has been going on for more than 18 years. 

In the meantime speculation is on who will be the CM of Tamil Nadu if Jayalalitha if the verdict goes against her. Sources say Jayalalitha already decided on whom to hand over the charge in case of any eventuality. She has three people in mind. One is Finance Minister Panneer Selvam, former IAS officer Sheela Balakrishnan and Transport Minister Senthil Balaji. 

Sheela Balakrishnan is close to Jayalalitha and even after retirement Jaya appinted as special advisor. Senthil Balaji is known as Jaya’s foster son. Inside talk is State Finance Minister O Paneerselvam is likely take over the top position with Sheela Balakrishnan will act as Jayalalitha’s point person at the secretariat. She may not give chance to Paneer Selvam as she already made him CM once and Jaya is not known to give any second chances to her leaders.
