Sometime back, distributors of movies like Sikander, Rabhasa and Aagadu have met star producers at Film Chamber in Hyderabad to demand star-heroes share a part of their loss. The above said movies have burned their hands so deep that recovering from the blow is lengthy and tough process. All their demands are thrown on the table, but do they have any assurance from our producers and their mighty heroes?
Earlier reports stated that all the distributors of those films have passed a resolution seeking star heroes who are charging bomb should return their remunerations if a flick fails miserably. Distributors voiced out that they could bare 15-20% losses but not 50-65% loss as that happened in the case of Rabhasa, Sikander and Aagadu. However, the outcome of their meeting with film industry bigwigs hasn’t come out yet.
Many opine that cinema-business is like lottery and how come a hero, a star material brought at sky-high price, should be forced to return his pay packet? But distributors are not accepting with this remark as they want every single movie to not push them into losses at least; forget about profits. As of now, there is no clue about the happening, and we’ll get to know more about it if any ‘big flick’ release is around.
