Lamenting that financial misery was due to maladministration and corruption of the 10-year rule of the Congress, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu reportedly declared that the state’s economy should have to be rebuilt from scratch. Naidu has claimed credit for the ‘positive effects’ of the TDP rule from 1994 -2004 adding that the benefits of his well-managed economy extended till 2007 granting a big leverage to the Congress governments.
He released a white paper on AP state finances at his Lake View camp office where he said that now residuary AP has ended up with a revenue deficit of of Rs 15,691 crore and resources gap to the tune of Rs 18,236 crore. Naidu also lamented how per capita income and tax revenue will now decline too as most industries and business establishments are based in and around Hyderabad, the TDP supremo said.
He also said that there was a similar situation in United AP in 1994 after five years of Congress rule then and said that he will work like how he did in the year 1994.
