The most tragic incident of the baby who was bit by rats that led to death at Guntur General Hospital which came to light after the national media reported, the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Guntur MP Galla Jayadev expressed their grief over the incident.

Chandrababu said  “Shocked and deeply disturbed after learning that a baby boy died after being bitten by rats in Guntur Hospital.” Chandrababu acted soon by suspending the officers which were on duty then. A circular of warning was also given to the hospital officials.

While Galla Jayadev said  “I’m shocked to hear about the death of an infant at GGH due to rat bites. I’ve called for a meeting tommorow to review the situation. This is unacceptable. I will do everything in my power to ensure this does not happen again. My sympathies to the family.”
