TDP chief and AP CM Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu who made a poll pact with the BJP which catapulted him to power is all set to follow the ideologies of the ‘big brother’.
Addressing the two-day training camp for the new MLAs here Naidu called upon the MLAs of Andhra Pradesh to inculcate the qualities of Lord Rama and make the world around them happy and meaningful.
Naidu said the life of Rama had a peculiar relevance to the conduct of politics today. ‘Speaking less, cheerfulness and tendency to reach out to others are the three important qualities that Rama’s life teaches us. As legislators, it is our responsibility to ensure improvement in the per capita happiness like other per capita economic indicators,’ he said.
Later, Venkaiah Naidu, who was chief guest of the session, also invoked Lord Rama to drive home the point of political discipline. ‘An ideal state, truthfulness, adhering to what is said etc are qualities of Rama. All these qualities are related to behavior,’ he said, adding that being ideal was more important than ideology.
