South Indian superstar Rajinikanth has been conferred with prestigious Centenary Award for 2014 at the 45th International Film Festival of India. Amitabh Bachchan who was the chief guest for the opening ceremony of the festival, presented the Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year to Rajinikanth.
“I came here to receive an award and not give a speech. Have no words to say after Amitabh Bachchan gave a wonderful speech,” said Rajinikanth at IFFI’s opening ceremony in Goa.
IFFI 2014 will see the screening of 179 films which have been picked from 75 countries in different categories including World Cinema (61 films), Masterstrokes (11 films), Festival Kaleidoscope (20 films), Soul of Asia (7 films), Documentaries (6 films), and Animated Films (6 films).
