Touching the raw nerve of Telangana leaders, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had dashed off a letter to his ally Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to invoke related provisions in the AP Reorganisation Act 2014, which give special powers to Governor to protect the properties and interests of Seemandhra people living in Hyderabad.
Now Babu comes under the criticism of telangana leaders and many started blaming Naidu for his unnecessary intervention into Telangana state affairs. Former congress minister and Telangana MLA T Jeevan Reddy has accused Naidu for forcing the Centre to grant more powers to Governor in GHMC limits.
Jeevan Reddy said that Naidu had hatched a larger conspiracy to weaken the people of Telangana by taking away all their powers. He further said that maintaining law and order in the city of Hyderabad is the responsibility of Telangana government as per A.P.Reorganisation Act-2014.
“Chandrababu has been trying to rule Hyderabad with the help of governor once the bill is passed. This would weaken the rights of Telangana people living in Hyderabad. Congress party would strongly oppose the move in Parliament .Chandrababu should take the responsibility for the consequences of handing over the maintenance of law and order to the governor’’.
Jeevan Reddy said Jeevan Reddy announced that the Congress party would strongly oppose the move in the Parliament.
