Reacting to the proposal of Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu’s idea of holding talks with Telangana CM KCR to resolve the contentious issues, Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao reacted positively. He offered to conduct talks with the Andhra Pradesh Government to sort out contentious issues among the two States.
“Telangana Government is not against Andhra Pradesh and therefore, all contentious issues including power, irrigation and water could be sorted by mutual talks. However, Naidu is trying to create a villainous image of TRS Government through provocative statements and actions. Naidu is jealous of the fact that TRS Government is fulfilling the promises it made with the people of Telangana. All the statements made by Naidu are aimed at wooing investments in Andhra Pradesh. However, Naidu is wrongly targeting the Telangana Government to achieve his goals. He is cheating the people of Andhra Pradesh over the issue of merger of seven mandals of Khammam district due to Polavaram Project,” Harish Rao alleged.
