As said earlier Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu released a “white paper” to educate the people about situation of electricity in the state. In his six pages letter babu explained how the Congress government ruined the power sector and pushed the state into a deep crisis during the last ten years.’
Chandrababu said that power generation in the state had shot up by 90 percent when he was as chief minister. He blamed congress party for degrading power sector in last ten years.
“AP was the first state in the country in 1998 to usher in reforms in the power sector, when I was the Chief Minister. With the reforms Power generation in the state increased from 5640 MW to 10,695 MW .Electricity deficit was just 1.5 per cent in the state in 2004 but shot up to 17.6 per cent now.’’Babu said.
‘During last 10 years of congress rule power sector had increased only 56 % i.e from 10, 695 MW to 16.915 MW.Power distribution companies were pushed into losses amounting to Rs 17,200 crore by March 2014 from zero deficit in 2004,”he added.
He also said that government will face many challenges in power sector in future .This is the first in a series of six white papers which the Chandrababu Naidu government said it would publish about different sectors that includes irrigation, health, education, industry and transport.With his first White Paper, Babu blamed 10-year-rule of Congress government including regime of late YSR.Let’s see what YS jagan said about this….
