Opposing the transfer of 205 villages, that spread across 7 Mandals in Khammam, to Seemandhra for Polavaram Irrigation Dam is one such move that definitely gets the attention of hardcore Telanganites. But naturally many doubts are being raised by Telangana TDP, Congress leaders over KCR’s honesty, sincerity. “What was KCR doing in Parliament when UPA has approved an Ordinance to merge 7 Mandals of Khammam into Seemandhra for Polavaram Dam? Why was KCR mum then? Why did KCR and his whole family meet Sonia at 10 Janpath later? Isn’t KCR now trying to fool Telangana people with this Bandh drama?,” asks a senior political leader from Telangana.
On flip side, in fact, many T-people who are welcoming KCR’s protest, opine that bandh is of no use. Making issues out of everything is easy, but getting right solutions to problems is the least what people expect and that make sense. Now that KCR is CM-elect he should have solve the issue by holding negotiations with Centre and neighbouring CM-elect Chandra Babu. For a while, KCR may get attention, may convince people slightly that he is against present-form of Polavaram Dam but at the end, it won’t help people much and may end up as show off!
