We are aware of Balakrishna entering electoral politics in 2014 Polls by contesting as TDP Candidate from Hindupur Assembly Constituency. Highly placed sources say, Chances of his nomination getting rejected by the local returning officer mayn’t be ruled out.
Reportedly, Balakrishna owns property (Survey No: 11/4, 3,942 Gajam) worth Rs 50 crore in Gurukul Ghatkesar Trust land at Khanapet, Hi-Tech City. A land dispute in connection with 300 Gajam in this plot reached the Court as well.
Padmaja, the petitioner, approached the court seeking action against Balakrishna and few others for encroaching her land. While accepting the petition, The Court issued noticed to the film star regarding the accusations. Soon, Balayya brought to the notice of the court about the land (3,942 Gajam) he purchased from a woman (Hemalatha) and the memorandum submitted to the state government seeking regularization of it.
The issue here is that Balakrishna didn’t mention about this particular property in the affidavit submitted to the returning officer at the time of nomination. As a result, Complaint has been filed with Election Commission demanding rejection of the actor’s nomination and appropriate action against him for filing false affidavit.
