It may look strange but TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu surprised everyone yesterday when he accorded five signatures on five policies after his swearing-in ceremony as the first Chief Minister of residuary Andhra Pradesh state. Incidentally, it was the YSRCP boss Jagan who promised ‘five signatures’ that would change the destiny of people and though this was taken up for serious publicity, it did not fetch votes and victory for Jagan.
Sources say that even close media circles associated with Naidu was unaware that there would be five signatures regarding Farm loan waiver, hike in pensions, NTR Srujala water scheme, increase in employee retirement age and abolishing belt shops.
Jagan party fans were heard saying that Babu has effectively hijacked their strategy but with different promises for five signatures! The way things are going, Chandrababu seems to be planning more sops for the Seemandhra people to ensure he stays in power for the next decade.
