Fresh after the fiasco of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which caught fire on a plane, it’s now an Apple gadget that’s keeping its users in a worried state. According to an Australian-based surfer, an iPhone has caught fire and resulted in destruction of his car interiors.

Based on complaint registered by the surfer named Mat Jones, a team from Apple is investigating the ‘overheat case’ and with proper results, they are looking forward to prove their product is completely safe, unlike Samsung.

Mat, who parked car and went out to teach surfing, by wrapping iPhone7 in his pants, and came back to witness an extremely shocking view in the car. He found the car filled with smoke and burned up the interiors where he placed his iPhone7.

Earlier this month, Samsung has recalled its newly launched Galaxy Note 7 after the gadget caught fire in a plane from Southwest to Baltimore. While the investigation over Note 7 is currently underway, it’s quite unfortunate to witness the same in Apple’s case.

An official spokesperson from Apple acknowledged the Jones case and said that Apple’s investigation team is closely working with him to understand how it was caught fire. So, instances like these alert tech giants to keep a big eye on testing safety measures before launching into market.
