Senior TDP leader, former Speaker and Tuni MLA Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has take charge as Finance Minister of new Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. Yanamala spoke at length on various crucial issues. He said the immediate challenge is to set right the economic deficit of Andhra Pradesh and to correct the ‘wrong steps’ taken by previous government in 10-years. The revenue deficit and huge debt burden are two key issues that need to be addressed on priority.
However, Yanamala assured the people that there will not be any additional burden on people in any manner to increase the revenue of government. “The focus is on raising revenue without imposing taxes, rates. The unproductive expenditure is to be identified and that need to be regulated,” shared Yanamala. Yanamala made it clear that it would not be possible without the full-support of Union Government. Yanamala said, “Andhra Pradesh need Special Status at least for a period of 15 years to come back on track.” Let’s wait and see how far Modi bail out Seemandhra.
