Every one are raving at the success of Manam and undoubtedly Akkineni Nageswara Rao got a fitting tribute with the film and the success it attained. Many actors do say they want to act till they die but ANR is the only actor who proved it right. He even dubbed for the film from his death bed and that is his commitment for the films which made him what he is today.
On the other side, ANR fans even though is loving the success of the film, they are not totally happy. The reason is the less screen space for ANR on screen. Even some of the scenes like ANR telling to Nagarjuna ‘Doctoramma mee gurinchi emandhante?’ and other scene where ANR asks Nagarjuna “Meeku ee pelli prema samsaram istam ledu kada….” were present in the film trailer but were not present in the movie.
A close source in the direction department of the film said to us that some of the scenes were to be trimmed as they are incomplete due to ANR’s sudden demise and some of them had to be trimmed as the film got lengthy. But the movie unit is planning to add some of the scenes at later part if possible. Nagarjuna is also planning to incorporate all the scenes and working videos in the DVD disks.
Manam which released on Friday got a huge reception at the box office. The movie had managed to amass 2.23 Crore share only in Andhra Pradesh on the opening day. Theaters are being added in almost all the areas from today and the makers expect the first weekend collections to be much higher. Manam also marks the filmy debut of Akhil Akkineni who appeared in a little cameo at the end of the film.
