It is a bitter truth that nobody messes with a politician in our country and that too in public places. But that doesn’t seem to be the case with Pakistan. Reports reveal that recently a group of angry passengers were determined to ensure that a former Pakistani minister was offloaded from a flight.

Story goes that a PIA flight bound for Islamabad from Karachi was made to stand in the airport for two hours with all the 250 passengers inside. The officials reportedly quoted it was a ‘technical fault’ but things got ugly when the passengers discovered that the flight was kept in waiting only for the arrival of former interior minister of Pakistan People’s Party, Rehman Malik.

As soon as he arrived, a group of passengers stood at the entrance and shouted at him for making them wait. They also demanded an apology from him and ensured that he was offloaded. Though Rehman was found arguing with the group, he had no choice but to walk back. Some of them were heard shouting “You are no longer a minister! Come down to earth! We have taken it for 68 years, no more!”. Can something like this ever happen in India?
