Ace film maker Mani Ratnam is planning a movie which is an adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier’s famous 1938 novel Rebecca. Rebecca is the story of a newly married woman who is constantly compared to the first wife of her husband by the housekeeper. While she feels belittled by the shadow of the deceased lady of the house, she later realises that her husband was never in love earlier. Mani Ratnam is currently busy in the script work.

This will be the first movie of Aish post her pregnancy. If all goes well, the film will go on floors by late next year and is expected to hit the theatres in 2014.
