In a major setback, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao’s government decision to go ahead with hiking of Medical College fee has invited criticism from all quarters. Especially TDP MLA Revanth Reddy slammed the ruling party for their defective GOs that fetch profits for Medical College Managements and hit on the back of students.
According to 371D, Eamcet should be held jointly in AP and Telangana, and even Medical colleges fee should be the same in both. However, T-government has issued a special GO favoring Medical Colleges to hike Management quota and NRI quota seat’s fee from 5.5 lakhs to almost 11 lakhs. ‘In neighboring Karnataka, an MBBS seat costs 4.5 lakhs while in AP it is 5.5 lakhs. But why is Telangana government allowing it to sell for 11 lakhs?’, Revanth asked, accusing KCR of amassing crores of rupees as a bribe to pass such faulty orders.
‘When quizzed about development measures, KCR always murmurs that his government is just 90 days old. But how could such an young government take decision that pushes 600 medical and 400 dental seats into hands of money-suckers?’, the TDP MLA asked. Slamming further, Revanth accused that KTR and KCR are scaling previous Congress government’s heads in collecting bribes.
