Bollywood star Aamir Khan surprised all the film world by attending a film award distribution function and received an award for his outstanding performance in the recenlty released Dangal film.

Aamir attended the award function almost after 16 years. He last attended the academy awards function when Lagaan was nominated in the Best Film category.

On the request of famous singer Lata Mangeshkar, Aamir attended award function for Master Dinananth Mangeshkar Awards. The function was held to commemorate Lata father’s 75th death anniversary and it was also when the legendary singer started singing in films.

The bollywood star was honoured with Vishesh Puraskar for his outstanding work in Dangal at the prestigious ceremony. Interestingly, Aamir received the award from RSS Chief Mohan Nagar in Mumbai.
